Who we are

Endless Pursuit (“we”) makes the Endless Pursuit app and runs this website. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law.

Questions about your data go to contact@endlesspursuit.app.

02

What the app collects

What it needs to run, and what you choose to log.

Your account
Your email address, name, handle and profile photo.
What you log
Runs, training sessions, weight, meals and meal photos, focus time, projects, pages read, journal entries and your vision board.
Your people
The circles you’re in, who you follow and who follows you, circle chat messages, reactions, Back it and nudges.
Your settings
Your privacy dial, what each circle sees, which logs are Only me, and your notification choices.
Your phone
A notification token, so the notifications you’ve allowed reach it.

Some of what you log, like your weight, meals and workouts, says something about your health. The law treats that as special category data. We only use it because you choose to log it and agree to it in the app, and you can delete any log at any time.

03

What this website collects

Hosting logs
Our host, Vercel, records each request to the site (the IP address, the browser, the page and the time) to keep it running and secure.
Page views
Vercel Web Analytics counts visits: which pages, where visitors came from, the country, and the type of device and browser. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you. We also count taps on Get the app, and where they led.
Invite links
When you open an invite link, we look up its code to show the circle’s name. To stop people guessing codes, the lookup carries a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
The earlier waiting list
Before the app came out, this site had a waiting list. If you joined, we hold your first name, your email address and the modes you picked, and the email addresses of any friends you invited. We use yours only to tell you the app is out, and a friend’s only for that one invite.

This website sets no cookies, for ads or anything else.

04

Who sees what

You choose, in the app’s settings. They apply to everything you log.

Your circles
Always see that you showed up today. A circle holds up to 10 people, and you can be in up to 3.
The privacy dial
Sets who else sees your days: everyone, followers or only your circle.
Per circle
Pick what each circle sees: Body, Work and Mind.
Per log
Turn on Only me to keep a single log to yourself.
Always yours
Only you read your journal or see your vision board. Your weight stays private unless you share it.
Chat, Back it and nudges
A circle’s chat is seen by the people in that circle. When you back a day, react or nudge someone, they see it was you.
Your profile
Your name, handle and photo show to the people you’re connected with in the app. Share your profile, and it shows your stats and your title.
Invite links
Anyone with your circle’s link sees its name and how many are in it, and the leader’s name and photo when the leader’s profile is public.
Share cards
Nothing leaves the app unless you post it. Once you post a card to Instagram or anywhere else, that service’s privacy policy covers it.
05

Why we use it

The law asks us to say why we’re allowed to use your data. For each use, it’s one of these.

To run the app
Your account, your logs, your circles and chat, the notifications you’ve allowed, and showing your days to the people you choose. This is the contract between us.
With your consent
Health-related logs, like weight, meals and workouts, and the one email to the earlier waiting list. You can withdraw consent at any time, which doesn’t undo what came before.
In our legitimate interests
Keeping the app and this site secure, stopping abuse like guessing invite codes, fixing bugs, and counting visits to the site in total. You can object to any of these.
When the law requires it
Keeping the records we must keep, and answering lawful requests.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it to show you ads.

06

Who we share it with

Only the providers that help us run Endless Pursuit, under contracts that limit them to that.

Hosting
The companies that host this website and the app’s servers, its database and the photos you store.
Notifications
Apple and Google, to deliver notifications to your phone.
Reading meals
When you log a meal from a photo, the photo goes to a provider that reads it and sends back an estimate.
Email
The service that runs our mailbox and sends our emails.
The law
The authorities, if the law requires it or someone’s safety depends on it.
A new owner
If Endless Pursuit is ever sold or merges, your data moves under this policy, and we’ll tell you first.
07

Where it’s stored

Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK, for example in the European Union or the United States. When data leaves the UK, UK adequacy regulations or the UK’s international data transfer agreement or addendum hold the provider to UK standards.

08

How long we keep it

Your account and logs
While your account is open. Delete a log, and it’s gone from the app.
A deleted account
We delete your account and everything you logged within 30 days. Backups roll over within a further 30 days.
Website logs
Up to 30 days.
Page views
Only as totals, which don’t identify anyone.
The earlier waiting list
Until you ask us to delete it. We won’t use it for anything but telling you the app is out.
Emails to us
Up to 2 years after the conversation ends, in case you get back in touch.
09

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, and the EU’s if you live there, you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of your data.
  • Correct it.
  • Delete it.
  • Limit how we use it, or stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interests.
  • Send it to you, or to another service, in a format a computer can read.
  • Stop using it where you gave consent.

Email contact@endlesspursuit.app. It’s free, and we answer within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, or to the data protection authority where you live in the EU. We’d like the chance to put it right first.

10

Children

Endless Pursuit is for people aged 16 and over, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think someone under 16 has an account, email contact@endlesspursuit.app and we’ll delete it.

11

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
